Our carefully-calibrated equipment and technical expertise ensure highest quality results at reasonable cost to you. (To see an example of the quality of scanning we provide, follow this link.)Our usual service involves scanning 35mm negatives and slides at 2400 dots per inch and 16 bits per channel. This ensures that the maximum amount of color or grayscale information is captured at a resolution sufficient for enlarging these small film images to approximately 8x10". Larger film formats and paper prints are typically scanned at proportional resolutions (although higher resolution scans are available, should you anticipate enlarging your images to more than 8x10" size). Please note that while the scanning service includes dusting of the scanned film or print and accurate control of exposure, the cropping, adjustment, or restoration of the images is not a part of this service. (For these services, please see the photo restoration portion of our web site.)
